Give us this day our daily home-baked bread…
a day and a quarter, actually… each quarter has one cup of whole grains and a dollop of acorn wort…
and allow us some Japanese eggplant and olive oil and salt and a pint of warm beer…
and we will rest and recover well from our running about…

not bad... now try it with a solar oven...
er....like jonah said, except for the warm beer. I was thinking a cold Reisling.
Yeah, I guess that's another one of my many quirks: I’ll drink a warm beer, not hot mind you, I don’t heat it up in a saucepan on the stove, this isn’t soup we’re dealing with here, but room temperature is fine, I mean, a beer’s a beer. I forget, though, that this is strange and occasionally I’ll hand a warm beer from the cupboard to a guest and they’ll refuse it! I figure a warm beer is better than no beer, but maybe I’m figuring wrong, or different anyway.
All that being said though, you’re right, a nice cold sweet wine would have been pretty nice.
Jonah. The bread looks good. If you want to make whole grain bread that really rocks. Get a copy of the Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book.
It's the definitive handbook on whole grain bread.
Thanks for the bread link, Shawn. I'll be sure to check it out before my next underwater bike race!
Make note to self -- check buffer before pasting -- it was supposed to be a link to the book.
What better time to eat bread. That's what I am thinking.
